Each year, the TSR staff artists had to generate
sketches for all the products assigned to them in the coming year. Approved
sketches would be rendered as small paintings and the paintings reproduced
thumbnail sized or smaller in the retail product catalog for the next
year. It was not unusual for an artist to end up working from another's
prototypes as schedules changed.
