PAUL & CHRISTINE'S WEDDING VOWS

Neither Paul nor Christine had shared the contents of their vows with the other before the wedding ceremony. Each heard the other's vows for the first time during the wedding. What they wrote and spoke is printed below.

CHRISTINE'S VOWS

Some people will say I have been waiting for this day for the last two years

Others will say I have waited thirteen years longer

But I know I have been waiting for this moment my entire life.

I didn’t see it coming. I wasn’t even looking, but God knew what He was doing.

I love you so much, and I promise to keep loving you - always.

I will be faithful to you.

In all things, I will take care of you.

When you are hungry, I will feed you.

When you cook, I will even eat.

When you are sick, I will nurture you.

When you are well, I will be thankful with you.

When we enjoy riches, I will plan our future with you.

When times are lean, I will find a way to stretch every dollar.

When you are victorious, I will celebrate with you.

When you fail, I will support you.

When you are happy, I will laugh with you.

When you are sad, I will cry with you.

When you need companionship, I will stick close by.

When you need some room, I will step aside.

When you want to play video games, you can!

These are my promises to you.

I love you and am proud to become your wife today!

PAUL'S VOWS

When I went to look for someone with whom I could share my life once more,
my requests of God were simple and uncomplicated.

I asked Him for a woman who would not only accept my quirks and eccentricities,
but who could also be attracted to them.

I asked for someone who shared my values and views,
and who would understand the passions that form my existence and drive me onward.

I asked for someone whose strengths and interests would complement my own,
though not necessarily be the same.

I asked for someone who not only knew how to laugh,
but who also knew how to make others laugh with her.

Finally, I asked for someone who lived near Dallas, Texas.

God, in his infinite wisdom and good humor, knew that Christine in Atlanta, Georgia, not Texas,
was the woman best suited for me and I the man for her.

He overcame the barriers and boundaries that might have kept us apart.

He has brought us here today in His sight and in the sight of those we love
to publicly affirm our love and commitment to each other.

It is with great joy, that I Paul take you, Christine, to be my wife.

I promise to share in your joys and sorrows,

I pledge to be your support in times of need,

To be your firm anchor when life’s tides pull at you,

I promise to love you without condition,

And to cherish you always.

I give you my life, my world, and my love and my desire to forever ever seek the same from you.
